Sister of the Week: Susannah Morgan
"I pledged Chi Omega at Winthrop University and was very involved in my chapter - serving as Asst New Member Educator and Recruitment Chair. Finding a home away from home in a scary place of college and learning how to grow into a confident woman with sisters behind me meant so much to me. I now know Bid Day was just the start of a lifelong journey with an amazing organization.
I joined the alumnae chapter purely for networking reasons. I found so much more than that in our group. Some of my favorite friendships have come from my time as an alumnae. At every turn I’ve encountered a welcoming home with you ladies. Currently I serve as Night Owls Chair, previously serving in roles including VP of Membership, print communications team, and OU housing board advisor.
For work, I am a digital marketer with a company in Norcross. Previously I worked in marketing at Re/Max and Cox Enterprises. Outside of the office you can find me 'getting down' at barre, yoga, dance class, paddleboarding... you name the workout and I am there. I love going to concerts, sporting events, hanging poolside and getting snuggle time with my tabby cat Gracie.
One of my favorite quotes about Chi O is “Always remember, what you give to Chi Omega she will return to you tenfold.” As an adult, with so much more responsibilities, it’s not as easy to be connected and takes effort. Make the phone call to a friend you haven’t seen, attend an event you haven’t thought about attending before, offer to help with an event that interests you, volunteer with Make-a-Wish, or send a simple text to a sister how she’s doing. Every time I’ve made an effort surrounding Chi Omega in my life I’ve received much more than I have given." #sisterhoodneverstops
